How it works

Four straightforward steps

01

Set zero

Establish the sawhead reference point before beginning a cutting sequence.

02

Choose a size

Select 4/4, 6/4, 8/4, 10/4, or enter a custom board thickness.

03

Set kerf and speed

Match the blade kerf and choose suitable feed and return percentages.

04

Start cutting

Use Manual, Single, or Multi mode while remaining at the controls and observing the mill.

One controller. Clear choices.

See every Saw‑Rite screen

Each screen keeps related controls together so the operator can quickly see the current mode, position, settings, and next action.

Preset Sizes

Select common lumber sizes—4/4, 6/4, 8/4, and 10/4—or use Custom for another finished target.

Saw-Rite kerf selection screen
Blade compensation

Kerf Selection

Choose the kerf value that matches the installed blade so subsequent sawhead positions account for material removed by the cut.

Saw-Rite Parameter Settings screen
Mill-specific setup

Parameter Settings

Set maximum cutting depth and tune maximum forward and return speeds for the mill and operating conditions.

Saw-Rite Diagnostics screen
Setup and service

Diagnostics

Review scale input, front and rear limits, feed status, and maximum-depth configuration during installation or troubleshooting.

Operator-focused design

Touchscreen convenience with essential physical controls.

The 30A On/Off power switch and physical Start, Stop, and emergency-stop controls remain easy to identify. Saw‑Rite is a retrofit controller—not a replacement for proper guarding, safe operating practices, machine-specific limits, or power isolation.

Common questions

Before you add Saw‑Rite

Will Saw‑Rite fit every sawmill?

No. Saw‑Rite is a retrofit control system. Compatibility depends on the mill's mechanical drive, motor voltage and current, travel limits, scale installation, guarding, and electrical system. Each installation must be evaluated and commissioned correctly.

Can I still operate manually?

Yes. Manual mode provides direct sawhead and feed controls, while Auto mode provides Single and Multi cutting sequences.

Can board size, kerf, and speed be adjusted?

Yes. The interface includes common lumber presets, a custom size option, selectable kerf values, adjustable maximum depth, and separate forward and return speed settings.

Is it safe to operate unattended?

No. The operator must remain at the controls, maintain a clear view of the machine and work area, and follow the sawmill manufacturer's safety procedures.
